Tree Angels for Haiti (TAFH) is a community-lead reforestation program aimed to help decrease environmental catastrophes, diseases and poverty associated with massive tree-cutting activity in Haiti. The primary goal is to plant trees where there’s an urgent need. We wish to help establish environmental and economic stability and therefore help decrease the poverty level.
The organization’s strategy is to implement three main objectives:

1) Construction of nurseries to provide local farmers and organizations free seedlings for planting; farmer assistance with commercialization of product. We empower local farmers to increase the production of commercially productive trees, such as citrus, avocado and mango trees.

2) Provide the material support and logistics to improve the production, transportation, and commercialization of tree products and produce.

3) Reduce tree cutting activities for charcoal production by providing alternate cooking fuel sources.
